Must-Have Summer Sandals

As someone who wears primarily sneakers, I struggle finding this right sandals to wear when the weather heats up. From strapping to chunky, open toed shoes are going to be the backbone of my wardrobe especially living in Texas.

I have been eyeing these sandals all season long, and have included my favorites for beach days or a night out.

Puffed Sandals

This was a trend from last year that has carried in the spring and summer months. Such a classic, elevated basic that goes perfectly with jeans, trousers and more.

Check out these from & Other Stories.

Satin Slides

Mix different materials into your outfit by including a satin pair of slides. This colorful pair is from Cult Gia.

Colorful Heels

Tired of wearing the same nude sandals every time you grab dinner and drinks? Try adding color in your shoes opposed to your clothes.

This shoe comes in four colors and is by Gianni Bini.

Errands Sandals

Want a slightly more elevated sandal besides a pool slide to slip on as you leave the house? Tkees is the best option. These are so comfortable and can be worn it’s almost anything.

Pool Slides

These cloud slides have taken over the internet at the casual slide of the summer. The waterproof, platform sandal is perfect for the beach, pool, etc.

Get these on Amazon, and they are prime.

Bandana Sandals

Definitely the Pinterest shoe of the summer, the bandana sandal has been seen everywhere on social media, and will be not being going away this season.

There are many dupes of these, but the original are from Arizona Love.

Minimalistic Sandals

These. Shoes. As someone who is almost afraid of wearing color, I am obsessed with these. SENSO never misses.

Chunky Dad Shoes

While these are definitely an acquired taste, these Ganni sandals are at the top of my list. These come in so many colors and are so easy to style. And, they are from a sustainable brand.

I Can Go Out Again… What Do I Wear?

With restaurants and bars starting to open back up you may be thinking… what do I wear out? It has been a long time since everyone has gone to a bar or out to nice dinner, and since early 2020 style has changed tremendously. Fashion evolves so quickly, and with that comes with the uncertainty of what to wear out.

I have styled outfits from some of my favorite retailers such as SSENSE, Shopbop, ASOS, and more. Each outfit made for a different occasion, but all supposed to make you feel confident for hitting the town this summer. Shop them all with the links below and via my LIKEtoKNOW.it .

Graduation Dresses To Buy Before The Big Day

I have recently graduated college (sad), so I know the stress of finishing the perfect dress for photos, ceremonies, parties, etc. Since these dresses are typically white across the board, I have found some of my favorite white dresses to wear under your cap and gown. These range in price, style, and formality so you can find your perfect dress.

I have linked all of the dresses shown in the header photo. If you are looking for more dresses, there are more linked in my LIKEtoKNOW.it.

Small Business Feature: Rachel G Jewelry

As someone who runs a part-time small business, I have so much respect for people who chase their career goals by starting their own brand. Supporting small businesses is so important and a great thing to do as a consumer. You can build relations with the shop owner, help them grow and share their products via social media or with friends and family.

A small business I just love: Rachel G Jewelry.

I discovered Rachel G Jewelry during a far too long Instagram session, but am so happy I stumbled across the page. Ran out of New York City, Rachel G Jewelry has many pieces ranging from gold necklaces to resin rings, and seems to hit all of the right places including classic and trendy designs. While she creates her own pieces, Rachel G Jewelry also carries specialty jewelry from collaborations she has done with Cailin Russo and King Princess.

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my bubble letter K necklace, which is from Rachel’s Juicy Bubble collection on her website. I have never seen anything like it and think it is such a fun spin on initial jewelry. I have the gold single initial charm, but they are also available in silver as a single charm and gold or silver in a name plate. Made with gold vermeil, this is super durable and high quality lasting longer than other gold plated options, which is something I look for when purchasing jewelry.

Juicy Bubble Collection

Another popular item that Rachel G Jewelry sells is an array of resin retro cocktail rings. Many could say this trend was brought into the spring and summer seasons by Emma Chamberlin, who wears many of Rachel’s rings. Varying in size, color and detail resin rings are a spunky, 90’s trend that will absolutely be sticking around this summer. And the prices? Great. Rachel G Jewelry resin rings start at $20 so if you are looking for handmade, affordable rings to add some color to your wardrobe, look no further.

Retro Cocktail Rings

I genuinely have nothing but great things to say about this brand. Rachel, the shop owner, is extremely nice helping me track orders, making sure items get here on time and overall I can tell she really cares about her brand. I will be continuing to purchase from her and I recommend you do too (:

T.J. Maxx Has A Website… And This Is What You Need

I have always wanted T.J. Maxx to make a website and since COVID hit they finally have made the transition to e-commerce. They have the best prices, but honestly it takes a lot of digging to find great things there. But when you find something, you strike gold.

I have done the digging for you by making a mini T.J. Maxx catalog of things that you need. Some of these are more “higher end” products that are super hard to find at these prices.

You’re welcome!

Elevated Basics: Wear This Not That

If you know follow me on social media or know me personally, you know the backbone of my wardrobe is basic clothing. Everyone feels confident in different things, and for me I feel the best while wearing a plain tank, jeans and sneakers. And even though this is what I feel good in, it can get “boring” because there is only so much variation you can do with a t-shirt. To spice it up I wear lots of elevated basics.

Elevated basics are essential basic staple pieces in your wardrobe with a twist. Instead of wearing a plain tank, wear a cropped one with a raw hem. Instead of wearing generic jeans, find one with a split hem. It’s the smallest changes in everyday clothes that can really take your styling up a notch.

Want to try out some elevated basic pieces? I have linked my favorite basics & elevated basics: wear this not that style.

But also, wear whatever you want (:

Basic: White Tank

My personal favorite white tank. A little cropped, but still wearable.

Basic: Mom Jeans

These jeans from Madewell have been with me through thick and thin. Great price and they have a great student discount.

5 Things You Need From Aritzia’s TNA Spring 21 Collection

The text between my sister and I when we saw this collection preview yesterday morning are embarrassing. We are a bit too excited.

If you know me at all, you know I am an Aritzia lover. Aritzia is the ultimate store to get your elevated basics – which is all I wear. Any time there is a new release at the store my alarm is set because everything sells out so quickly. Everything.

Majority of my wardrobe is from Aritzia, so I would say I know most of these items to a tee. I could tell you my favorite things, but I could also tell you what’s worth the purchase from each collection. Below are my recommendations on what you need to buy from Aritzia’s TNA Spring 21 collection.

Marcy Vest

The sweater vest trend is still around. This season I am seeing more people ditching their oversized vest for a cropped one, as it can be worn on its own or layered with a turtleneck, matching sweats and sneakers.

Clay Sweater

A modern take on a classic Ralph Lauren sweater, this v neck knit is the perfect transition piece from winter to spring. Aritzia’s sweaters are unmatched, so I know this is going to be a must have.

Bedford Dress

More of a retro take on the OV Exercise dress, the Bedford Dress is perfect for running errands or tennis. Super easy to style and wear, ideal for warmer months coming up.

Fargo Tank

So simple, yet such a staple. As I said in the intro the basics from Aritzia last forever, as they are the best quality. I have multiple tanks from here and the cut of this one is a little different, so it will definitely make it into my basket tomorrow.

Hi-Rise Atmosphere Legging

This legging is almost an identical dupe to the Lululemon Align legging but better. They are thicker, can hold up during a workout but are still perfect for lounging. They have been out for a while, but they have new colors like this blue dropping tomorrow.

Cozy Fleece Boyfriend 5″ Sweatshort

These. Shorts. I cannot wait and want them in every color. I have the hi-rise 3″ sweat shorts and I wear them with everything. They come in a variety of colors so you don’t have to buy an exact matching sweatshirt to have the perfect matching set.

The Best Swimsuits By Price Range

Whether you are ready for it or not… swimsuit season is almost here. If you are up north, you are probably dreaming and maybe even planning for a trip to the beach. If you live in the south – swimsuit season is already here. Yes, I am sunburned in January.

While there is nothing more I love than a good swimsuit, WHY have they gotten so expensive over the past few years? It can be so difficult to find a swimsuit in your price range, especially one that will last you more than one season. While Zaful and Shein sound like a great idea because the swimsuits are so cheap, they don’t even survive one round through the wash. As I have gotten older and become more educated on the fashion industry, I try my best to avoid purchasing from fast-fashion empires like Zaful and Shein. Being more conscious about where are purchasing your clothing helps the environment yourself! Why? Because your clothes will probably last longer.

Let me save you the trouble of searching the internet for the best bikinis – they are right here. AND they are sorted by price range.
